CKD have 5 stages, and stage 5 is normally when kidney failure occurs. At this point patients are usually recommended for dialysis or a kidney transplant. There are 2 general types under dialysis that can be done hemodialysis or peritonial dialysis. While kidney transplants are not very easy to get, and Peritoneal dyalysis (PD) has environmental and compatibility challenges, hemodialysis becomes the best choice especially on developing countries like Cambodia.
